Of the 100 counties in North Carolina, Onslow County had the most land and rural real estate for sale. The most expensive land listed for sale in North Carolina on Lands of America recently was $49 million, while the median price for land and rural property for sale in North Carolina was $229,775. The average price of land, homesites and other rural acreage for sale in North Carolina was $489,380. There was 1,645 acres of sold land in North Carolina recorded in August 2018 through the Lands of America sales program. This reflects an eight percent decrease in sales activity over the previous month. The total value of this sold land and rural real estate was $8.5 million. Onslow County recorded the most land sales recently in the state.
